Cookies
Our website sets no cookies unless you accept analytics and advertising cookies in our cookie banner.
Cookies on this website
While our analytics and advertising tools are switched off, ThriftyPlans sets no cookies, on any page, and doesn't use analytics or advertising trackers. You won't see a cookie banner then, because there's nothing to accept.
Analytics and advertising tools: only when switched on, and only if you accept
This section applies only when we've switched these tools on. You'll know, because a banner on our website asks you to accept or reject them, and the footer of every page has a "Change cookie settings" link.
We use them to see which of our ads bring visitors and orders, and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. None of them loads until you press Accept. If you press Reject, or don't choose, none of them loads and nothing is sent to Google, Meta or Microsoft.
We switch on only some of these tools, and only those can set cookies:
| Tool | What it sets on our website | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by our ID | To count visits and orders and see which pages people use |
| Google Ads conversion tracking | Cookies whose names start with _gcl_ | To tell which Google ad led to a visit or an order |
| Meta Pixel | Cookies named _fbp and _fbc | To tell which Facebook or Instagram ad led to a visit or an order, and to show our ads to past visitors |
| Microsoft Advertising (UET) | Cookies named _uetsid and _uetvid | To tell which Microsoft (Bing) ad led to a visit or an order |
How long each cookie lasts
When you place an order and pay, and you've accepted, we tell these tools that an order was paid, with its order reference and value. Google, Meta and Microsoft may also set cookies on their own domains; their own cookie policies explain them.
Your choice
When the banner is shown, we remember your choice, Accept or Reject, in your browser's local storage under the name tp_consent, with the date you chose. It's strictly necessary to respect your choice, so we store it without asking. It stays until you change your choice or clear your browser's data.
To change your choice at any time, use the "Change cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. If you withdraw your consent, we stop the tools and delete the cookies they set on our website.
Ads that brought you here
If you arrive from an ad, the web address can include an ad click reference and campaign tags. We don't store them on your device: they're carried in the links between our pages and saved with your order if you place one, so we know which ad led to it. This happens whether or not the tools above are switched on. Our privacy notice explains it.
Stripe Checkout
When you pay, you move to Stripe's own payment page. Stripe sets its own cookies there, on its own domain, and we don't control them. Stripe's own cookie policy explains them.
Fonts
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address when a page loads. We set no cookie for this. Whether we host the fonts ourselves before launch
If this changes
We'll update this page before we add any other cookies. Questions: [email protected].
