The terms for ordering planning drawings from ThriftyPlans. Fixed prices including VAT, every council amendment included, and you submit the application yourself.

What we do
We're a planning drawing service, not architects. From the photos and measurements you send, without a site visit, we draw your house as it is now and as it will be, for a householder planning application. Your pack also includes a step-by-step guide to applying on the Planning Portal, your answer to every question on the application form, and help by email until your application is decided.
We prepare work in England and Wales.
Prices
Prices are fixed and include VAT.

A lawful development certificate or prior approval application is the same price as the project it's for. If you're not sure which you need, we check the route and tell you the fixed price before you pay.
What's not included
- The council's application fee, which you pay direct to the council
- Building regulations drawings
- Structural calculations
- Party wall notices
- Heritage statements
- Submitting the application as your agent
You submit the application
You're the applicant and you submit the application yourself, using our guide and support. We don't act as your agent. The planning officer will contact you, so please forward anything they ask for to us.
Planning permission is decided by your local council. No drawing service can guarantee approval.
Council amendments
Every amendment the council asks for is included until your application is decided. Turnaround for these changes: usually within 2 working days.
Your own changes
Two rounds of your own changes are included before you submit. If you want further changes of your own after submission, we'll tell you the cost before we make them.
What we need from you
Please send photos and measurements as our photo guide describes, and check that they're correct. If something doesn't add up, we'll ask you to re-check it. Your drawings are accurate for a planning application. Your builder should measure on site before construction, as with any planning drawings.
Turnaround
Standard first draft: within 5 working days of receiving everything we need.
